These terms govern your use of BudgetingApps.org (the "site"). By using the site you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. What the site is
BudgetingApps.org publishes reviews, comparisons and guides about budgeting software. Content is general information and our editorial opinion. It is not financial, legal or tax advice, and it is not a recommendation suited to your personal circumstances. Consider your own situation, and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.
2. Accuracy
We work to keep listings accurate, but prices, features and availability change often and we cannot guarantee that every detail is current or complete. Always confirm details on the app's own website before you buy.
3. Affiliate links, paid placements and relationships
Some links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. App makers can pay to claim and edit their listing or to be featured; paid placements are labelled. Payment never buys a rating, a review verdict or our Editor's Pick. 4. Third-party apps and sites
We link to apps and websites we do not own or control. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their content, products, security or practices.
5. App owner accounts and listings
- You may claim a listing only for an app you own or are authorized to represent. We may verify your claim and may refuse, suspend or remove it.
- Content you submit must be accurate, lawful and not misleading, and must not infringe anyone's rights. You are responsible for it.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, adapt and distribute the content you submit (including names, logos and screenshots) on the site and in related promotion of the listing.
- We keep editorial control. We may edit or remove owner content that is inaccurate or violates these terms, and owners cannot change ratings, our review text or the Editor's Pick.
- Keep your email account secure; anyone with access to it can request a sign-in link.
6. Paid plans
Paid listing plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis until cancelled. You can cancel at any time and the plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. Featured placement depends on slot availability. We may change prices with reasonable notice before your next billing period.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no attempts to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, no scraping at a volume that affects other visitors, no impersonation, and no use that breaks the law. Reasonable automated access for search engines and AI assistants that respect robots.txt is welcome.
8. Intellectual property
The site's design, text and original content belong to BudgetingApps.org. App names, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used to identify their products; their use does not imply endorsement. You may quote short excerpts with a link back to the page.
9. Disclaimers
The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BudgetingApps.org will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of money, data or profits, arising from your use of the site or of any app or site it links to. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.
11. Indemnity
If you submit content or use the site in violation of these terms, you agree to indemnify us against resulting claims, losses and reasonable legal fees.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
