Mobile budgeting with shared wallets and optional Premium bank syncing
Research-based review, not hands-on testing. Last researched .
Spendee is a mobile-first budgeting and money-tracking app with cash wallets, category budgets, shared wallets and transaction import/export. Its Basic tier is free; Plus and Premium add features and remove limits. Premium highlights bank, e-wallet and crypto-wallet links and automatic categorization, though the public pricing page and older help documentation are unclear on exactly which plan includes bank sync. Official apps are available for iOS and Android.
Best for: Mobile-first budgeters who want cash wallets, shared spending and optional bank connections; verify current plan access and provider coverage.
Cash wallets, category budgets, budget alerts, shared wallets, scheduled one-time and recurring transactions (recurring rules limited to manual cash wallets), bank links, e-wallet and crypto-wallet connections, import/export, charts and analysis.
Research-based profile, not hands-on testing. I reviewed Spendee's public plans, help pages, store listings and independent coverage. I did not create an account, start a trial or connect a bank.
Spendee organizes personal spending around cash wallets and category budgets. Basic is free with one cash wallet and one budget. Plus and Premium remove wallet and budget limits and support shared wallets. The help center says budgets can include selected categories, repeat on a chosen schedule and alert users near 75% and 90% of their limit. It also offers scheduled future transactions; recurring rules are currently limited to manual cash wallets, a meaningful boundary for anyone relying on linked accounts.
The pricing page lists Basic as free, Plus at $1.99 per month or $14.99 per year, and Premium at $5.99 per month or $35.99 per year; prices can vary by country. It advertises a seven-day free trial for paid features. Premium highlights bank, e-wallet and crypto-wallet connections and automatic categorization. The help article says bank links require Premium, though the pricing-page comparison does not clearly expose every plan's feature gates. Confirm the current access level at checkout. Spendee says it connects to more than 2,500 financial providers; automatic refresh is only available for some banks, generally about daily, while other providers require manual refresh. Some two-factor bank flows cannot auto-sync.
Spendee has native iOS and Android apps. Its help center also describes a web app with bulk transaction editing, CSV/XLS import and detailed analysis, and the App Store listing mentions a web version. The pricing landing page still says web is coming soon, so the vendor's public copy is inconsistent; I list the web app based on the support documentation and store listing.
The mobile app can export CSV or XLS. Basic exports are limited to the most recent 365 days; Plus and Premium offer unlimited exports. The vendor says bank connections are read-only, communications and stored data are encrypted, credentials are stored only if users opt in, and it does not sell data. This is vendor documentation, not an independent security audit.
The iOS listing reports version 6.0.10 released October 12, 2026; Google Play lists an October 10 update with scheduled-payment chart views and improved search. USA Today published an independent hands-on review in July 2026. Spendee is an approachable choice for mobile-first spending, shared wallets and category caps. Check the current bank-sync plan and the limits of recurring transactions before relying on it as a fully automated bill planner.
