## Our review

### Short version

Fudget is a manual budget planner built around income and expense lists for monthly, weekly, event or project budgets, showing what remains. There is no bank linking. Basic is free for up to 5 budgets and 250 entries on one device; Plus adds cross-device sync, unlimited budgets, sharing, CSV export and additional tools. Recent iOS releases added subfolders, full-data import/export and Plus global search.

**Quick profile, not a full review.** Updated 2026-10-14 from the vendor site, store listings and public sources. This is docs- and listing-based research, not hands-on testing; I did not sign up, start a trial or connect a bank.

### Cost

- Basic: free, up to 5 budgets and 250 entries on one device (vendor website).

- Plus: US$19.99/year or $14.99 per six months on the website; the US App Store lists $4.99 monthly and promotional prices. A seven-day trial is offered for Plus on the website.

### What changed / current details

The US App Store version history lists version 2.0.25 (February 2026) and previously added subfolders plus full-data export/import in 2.0.19 (June 2025), and Global Search in 2.0.23 (September 2025; Plus required). The Google Play listing still reports an update date of September 26, 2025. The vendor's older Fudget 1 explanation says Fudget 2 uses cloud Firebase storage and does not work offline; the Google Play listing still shows that app data-safety disclosure as developer-provided.

### Not confirmed

Web app availability and the exact current Google Play release/version. Goal tracking and multi-currency conversion are not confirmed. The website still displays a “Fudget 2 coming very soon” notification popup even though its current product and pricing pages offer Fudget 2; the popup appears stale.

### Notes

The privacy policy is dated August 5, 2023 and describes collection and processing of account, financial, device and usage data in broad terms; Google Play separately reports no data collected or shared and encrypted transit. These sources describe different scopes and are not an independent audit. The vendor site says no bank connections or tracking, but its app still stores synced budget data in the cloud.

Ratings are set separately against a shared rubric.
