## Summary

Copia is a web app for zero-based budgeting with dashboards, transactions, recurring items, a calendar and insights. The free plan covers manual accounts, CSV import and CSV export; a $4.99/month beta plan adds Plaid bank sync, receipt capture, rules and AI tools. ## Our review

### Short version

Copia is a web app for zero-based budgeting with dashboards, transactions, recurring items, a calendar and insights. The free plan covers manual accounts, CSV import and CSV export; a $4.99/month beta plan adds Plaid bank sync, receipt capture, rules and AI tools. The October 2026 changelog documents continued development, but native iOS and Android store availability remains unconfirmed.

**Quick profile, not a full review.** Refreshed on 2026-10-14 from the vendor's pricing page, changelog, mobile availability page, privacy policy and product homepage. No hands-on testing: I did not sign up, start a trial or connect a bank.

### Cost

- Free plan $0; paid beta plan $4.99/month

- No annual price found on the pricing page

- The vendor says it will notify users before the price changes; referrals earn the referrer a free month per its changelog

### What is distinct

The budget itself is conventional zero-based budgeting. The differences are packaging: a free manual tier that includes import and export, receipt capture, an assistant that can draft budgets, and a low entry price. The vendor frames Copia largely as a lower-cost choice and publishes comparison pages, so I found no distinct budgeting method beyond that.

### Data and privacy

CSV export is on the free plan (it downloads the filtered transaction list), and the privacy policy describes in-app account deletion with data deleted or de-identified within 30 days. The policy says data is not sold, is encrypted in transit and at rest, and lists Plaid, Stripe, Clerk, AWS, Vercel, Google Gemini API, Sentry and PostHog as processors. I found no independent audit or published security certification.

### Mobile

October 2026 changelog entries refer to a mobile app and mention mobile-specific interface updates. However, the dedicated iOS and Android page still labels native apps Coming Soon and says store submission is pending. I found no verified store listing; use the web app in a phone browser for now.

### Not confirmed

Launch year; Multiple budgets; Annual price; Envelope budgeting; Multi-currency; Shared budgets; Countries supported for bank sync; Store availability of native mobile apps; Rollover behavior.

### Notes

The App Store app named 'Copia' is an unrelated food-waste app. Pricing and launch-status wording can change while the vendor describes Copia as beta.
